Trip Overview

Lumbini the birthplace of Buddha is also famously known as the capital of Buddhism and is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  It is one of the four main pilgrimage sites marking Buddha’s life that’s why it is a major pilgrimage site for the Buddhists. The Lumbini pilgrimage tour also displays the great archaeological triumph of mankind. It contains 62 archaeological sites that Show different event’s during and after Buddha’s life.

A very important ancient heritage is The Mayadevi temple which houses the ancient idol of Mayadevi, the Birth Marker stone, and the ruins from the 3rd century BC to the 7th century BC. The Birth Marker stone specifically marks the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The Ashoka Pillar was inscribed and Constructed by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC behind and to the west of Mayadevi Temple. The pillar and inscription are the testaments of Lumbini being the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Near the Ashoka pillar there situated the holy and ancient Pushkirini Lake and is believed that Maya Devi had taken a bath in the lake prior to giving birth to Lord Buddha.

A large collection of the Mauryan and Kushana coins, religious manuscripts, terracotta fragments and stone and metal sculptures, historical artifacts related to Buddhism is being preserved by the Lumbini Museum. in the center of the Lumbini garden, there is The eternal World Peace’s flame that flows continuously 24 hours a day is also a major attraction. we also visit Tilaurakot, Gotihawa, Kudan, Niglihara, Devdaha, and Sagarhawa some other famous religious and archaeological sites during the Lumbini tour.

ITINERARY
Day 1:
Kathmandu to Lumbini

Departure at 10:00 and reach Lumbini at around 5 pm, on the way to lunch. It is 260 km far away from Kathmandu. There we do hotel checking and get refreshed. After that, we enjoy Lumbini sightseeing. In the evening we do Dinner, enjoy your quality time with your friends/Family. Stay overnight at the hotel

Day 2
Explore Lumbini

Next day early Morning  Maya Devi Temple Darsan after having breakfast. Today you will explore the like visits area Asoka Pillar the Holy Garden, Puskarani Pond, The Myanmar Golden Stupa, The China Monastery, The Japanese Peace Stupa, The Great Lotus Stupa, Royal Thai Monastery, KapilvastuTilaurakot, Lumbini Museum. Back to the hotel, get refreshed spend some quality time with your friends and family, and have some fun. Have dinner and overnight stay in a hotel

Day 3
Lumbini to Kathmandu

The morning after having Breakfast it’s a leisure time for you to do the sightseeing as well as you can do your Shopping. After lunch back to Kathmandu.
