Trip Overview

Ghorepani Poonhill trek is a colorful short trekking experience in the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, condesed plussy forests and we will have great views of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek. Walking up slowly through rhododendron forests, the majestic Annapurna range reveals itself as you emerge from the forest into Gorrepani.

A short hike from Ghorepani (2,50m) will bring you to Poon Hill (3210m), a place of timeless beauty presenting magnificent views of the Himalayan Mountains. Ghorepani Poonhill hot spring trek offers one of the best views of trekking in Nepal. Enjoy trekking in the magnificent mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by the Gurkha people, Dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapoorna’s with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchre (Fish-Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. At the climax of this trek, you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountain views on earth. As the sun touches the snow-capped summits, the Himalayan giants – Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna (8091m) along with the jagged edge of other peaks – gradually reveal their grandeur. This is a gratifying trek for nature lovers.

Detail Itinerary

   Day 1   – Arrival to Kathmandu (hotel check-in)  
   Day 2    – Flight to Pokhara & drive to Nayapul and trek to hile   2 Hrs
   Day 3    – Trek to Ghorepani (2,850m)   6 Hrs
   Day 4    – Trek to (early in the morning up to Poonhill view point for sunrise (3,210m)   7 Hrs
   Day 5    – Drive to Pokhara &Flight to Kathmandu (Hotel check-in)  
   Day 6   – International Departure back to Home
